“‘Hear, O Israel: the Lord our God, the Lord is one; you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
(Mark 12:29-31)

Purpose
In an effort to actively live out the Great Commandment to love God and our neighbour, we will be engaging in an outreach project in our community to meet the practical needs of our neighbours and to establish a relationship with them. During the months of July and August, we will be collecting personal hygiene and other items and then distributing them downtown Kingston at the end of August and into the fall.

Process
Bring items to church on Sunday mornings or arrange to have them picked up at your home. Items will be placed into large ziplock bags and volunteers will distribute them downtown and in other parts of the city person-to-person. Items should be new and, in most cases, travel size so they can fit into ziplock bags.
